Stratton Takes 4 but Union lose both lower grades

The Union Cricket Club suffered two defeats in lower grades during the weekend, after Senior Reserves lost to Albion while the Second Grade Rainbow side went down to Oamaru by 5 runs.

In the Senior Reserve game, a weakened side due to player unavalibilities, bowled first and Paul Stratton was the main wicket taker with 4 wickets. Albion notching up 195 at the completion of their innings. In reply Union only managed 56, a win to Albion by 139 runs.

Union Rainbow had a narrow loss to Oamaru by 5 runs.
