Union v. High School

The return match between Union and Waitaki Boy's High School was played on the school grounds yesterday. The weather was excellent, but the wicket rather spongy as a result of the recent rain. School batted first, but could not compete with the bowling of Union, and closed their innings for 18 runs. Union, in their first innings scored 92, Turner registering 39 and Haig 26. School's second innings was almost a repetition of the first, the innings closing for 23. Union thus won by an innings and 51 runs.
