North Otago holds Primary Tournament
Saturday, 13 January 2007

Oamaru played host to the 44th South Island Primary Tournament during the week. Fourteen teams took part in the only tournament of its type in New Zealand. In past years future stars such as Chris Cairns, Craig McMillan, All Black Daniel Carter and even footballer Ryan Neilson have played. Only one day was lost due to wet weather with games played at Waitaki Boys High School, St Kevin's College and Centennial Park. Congratulations must be made to all those involved in the organisation and staging of a highly enjoyable and successful tournament.
