The Union Senior started the Dick Hunt 20/20 with a 8 wicket win against Albion.
After winning the toss and electing to field Albion found themselves in trouble in the third over at 2-23 after opening bowlers Shaun Todd and Daniel Conlon took both openers wickets. A big partnership between Gareth Duncan and Peter Cartwright then followed with both batsmen recording half centuries, before Cartwright was caught behind by Anthony Cromwell for 68. This marked the start of a spectacular collapse that saw Albion lose 8 wickets for the addition of only 6 runs. Stuart Dickinson took five of the wickets in 13 balls and after being hit for 15 in his first over finished with 5-17 of 3.1 over's. Mark Wilson was good in support, and like Dickinson after being hit for 8 in his first over took 3 wickets in 13 balls finishing with 3-11 of 3 over's. Albion all out for 153 in the 20th over.
Union got of to a very slow start struggling with the medium pace of Dylan Winter. With the loss of opener Hamish Robertson for 3, Glynn Cameron and Mitch McRae brought the game back into Union's hands. McRae was dismissed for 27 and the partnership with Cameron was 64. With the loss of McRaes wicket, Mark Wilson was next at the crease. Both he and Cameron batted well and were aggressive running between the wickets. With five over's left Union required 32, of which Union required only another 19 balls with Wilson and Cameron finishing the game with a 85 run partnership.
