The Union Senior team celebrated Antony Cromwell's 100th senior game for the club with a gusty 5 wicket win and successful defence of the Payne Tempero club at King George Park.

Batting first Oamaru where aggressive but failed to bat out their 45 over's, all out for 191 in the 34th over. For Union, Glynn Cameron finished with 4-34, while Dan Conlan took 4-33. Cromwell took five catches behind the stumps, as all wickets in the Oamaru innings where out by the way of caught.

Chasing Union where in trouble at 3-58 but a big partnership of 105 between two of the in form batsmen, Duncan Drew (72) and Mark Wilson (42) all but took Union to victory, Union being 5 wickets down when passing the Oamaru total. fittingly Antony Cromwell was not out at the end of match, coming to the crease with the loss of the fifth wicket (Wilson).
