A masterful innings from Antony Cromwell set Seniors up with a ten wicket win over Albion in the final 20/20 Dick Hunt match in the weekend.
Albion batting first made 103-8 of their 20 over's with Pete Cartwright batting virtually the whole innings finishing with 49 not out. For Union Glynn Cameron, returning from holiday, took 3-18 and Stu Dickinson took 2-11.
The Union openers never looked troubled as the usually big hitting Jeremiah Shields took on a supporting role with fellow opener Antony Cromwell playing the aggressor scoring his runs in distain of the Albion bowlers. Jamie Ferris suffered the most as he was hit for 20 of his sole over with Cromwell taking three boundaries and a six. When the Albion total was surpassed only 11 of the allocated 20 over's had been bowled, Cromwell top scoring with a personal 20/20 best of 60 not out while fellow opener Jeremiah Shields was 24 not out.
Union is now alone at the top of the Dick Hunt table with three wins, going undefeated in the 20/20 phase of the competition.
