Union lost the Payne Tempero Cup against Albion at KGP in a low scoring affair.

Batting first Union got of to a great start from openers Ants Cromwell and Duncan Drew reaching to 52 for none after 7 over's but a collapse saw the home team lose 8 wickets for only 38 runs. Donaldson was the last wicket fall after the final two wickets put together 44 runs leaving Union all out for 134 - a small total but defendable on a slow outfield.

Needing quick wickets Albion found themselves 5-57 but a 47 run partnership dominated by Brad Kernahan, who put in a match winning performance of 63 not out, put the game out of reach and Albion winning the Payne Tempero for the first time.
