Dan Conlan celebrated 100 years of cricket at KGP with a 5 wicket bag against Oamaru/SKC to help his side to a 103 run victory.

Union lost the toss and were put into bat setting a target of 218 after being bowled out in the 49th over. Early in the innings Glynn Cameron looked to play the anchor role notching up 35 before being adjudged leg before wicket to the bowling of Jordan Horrell. Jake Greenslade was his aggressive self hitting 5 sixes in his inning of 45 before he to fell to Horrell. Brad Fleming (35) and a cameo from Matt Lilley (21 not out) took their side over 200. Horrell (3-14) and Cant (3-40) were the best of the Oamaru/SKC bowlers.

Oamaru/SKC got of to a fast start with some big hitting from openers Horrell (34) and Jordan Bartlett (28) before Conlan started making in roads into the Oamaru/SKC batting line-up. After Matt Lilley (2-50) took the wicket of Bartlett, Conlan then took the critical wicket of Ben Cant who shoulded arms and was dismissed without scoring. He then ripped through the middle order taking 5 wickets in six overs effectively ending Oamaru/SKC's chances of victory, finishing with (5-49). Cameron (2-0) then took the final two wickets in five balls, with Oamaru/SKC falling short by 104 runs of victory.

Union will face Waitaki Boys next weekend in a Payne Tempero challenge.
