Prolific run scorer and wicket taker for Union during the 1920ties and 30ties. Was a member of the touring party in the first Easter Tour in 1928. Ronald's highest score of 180 was recorded against Oamaru, when opening in the first innings he recorded 180 of Unions 309 runs. Has played less than half of the top eight highest run scorers for the club but is ranked fifth on that list. Has recorded the most scores over 100 in the club and has a career batting average of 46.90. Currently ranked at ninth in most career wickets.
